In place of our postponed in-person conference (rescheduled for June 2023), Lascasian studies at Providence College will host a fast-paced on-line event. Wednesday, June 22rd, (5-6PM EDT), Thursday 23rd (9AM-12PM), and Friday, 24th (9AM-12PM)
In seven hours over three days, attendees of this gathering, will have the opportunity to:
Maintain and expand the academic network of Las Casas scholars
Learn from top researchers in the field
Discover new resources and methods
Develop research ideas in conversation with colleagues
Help shape the future of Lascasian studies
A combination of plenary webinars and thematic breakouts will allow participants to engage and debate a diversity of themes raised by Las Casas’s life and legacy, from philosophy and theology, politics and colonization, anthropology and ethics.
